Our Journey

From Top Tech Companies to Streamlined Recruitment – Transforming our Experience into Expertise.

We founded Samba while living in different countries – we were based in Argentina and the UK. Having previously worked together at Mercado Libre (NASDAQ:MELI) -the largest e-commerce and FinTech company in Latin America- we knew how each other worked and were confident that we could build a successful business together, even while working remotely. Our expertise and industry contacts complemented each other perfectly – one of us had a background in IT, while the other specialized in executive searches. Together, we are driven by a shared passion for finding the best talent in the tech industry.

The professional challenges we faced working in Top Tech companies before creating Samba, provided us with valuable knowledge of the industry and best practices. We gained experience identifying high-quality candidates, developing effective recruitment strategies, and understanding the time it takes to complete various recruitment and employee management processes. All these valuable insights were critical while envisioning Samba, enabling us to develop from scratch efficient processes to streamline recruitment and build partnerships with our clients.

Agustina Tapia

Co-Founder/Head of Executive Searches
Based in Buenos Aires, Argentina

Agustina is a Human Resources professional with more than 20 years of experience in the field. She spent almost a decade at Mercado Libre (NASDAQ: MELI) as one of the company’s first 50 employees, where she served as a Business Partner. In this role, Agustina worked closely with every sector of the organization, played a direct role in over 1000 placements, and worked extensively on cross-border recruiting projects.

Agustina also worked as an HR Manager at Mercado Pago (MercadoLibre Fintech Spin-off) during a period of explosive growth, where she led the HR team and exceeded 100% year-over-year growth. Throughout her career, Agustina has led several projects focused on talent management and employee engagement.  Her passion for building dynamic, committed, and goal-oriented teams has been a driving force. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Belgrano in Buenos Aires, with a specialization in Neuroscience. Agustina is fluent in both Spanish and English.

As a mother of four boys, Agustina’s natural energy and enthusiasm have helped her achieve success both personally and professionally. She is an entrepreneur at heart and is eager to continue making a positive impact on organizations and their most valuable asset: their people.

Dolores Cash

Co-founder/Head of Technology and Digital Recruitment
Based in London, United Kingdom

Dolores is a skilled HR professional with over 20 years of experience in the field. She holds a degree in psychology and a minor in human resources, graduating Cum Laude. She furthered her education at Harvard Law School and Harvard University, Division of Continuing Education, earning certificates in negotiation, mediation, conflict management, and leadership.

Dolores has worked with top companies, including Mercado Libre and Sun Microsystems. At Mercado Libre, she served as an HR Business Partner and a Senior Technology Recruitment Consultant. There, she led the placement of highly skilled tech professionals and helped build the company’s core teams. At Sun Microsystems, Dolores was a Human Resources Generalist, providing both transactional and strategic HR support to various areas of the company. 

Originally from Argentina, Dolores has lived in Boston and currently resides in London. In addition to her professional experience, she collaborates with non-profit organizations like Link Up, where she designs and executes programs to help women reengage with the workforce. She’s also a mother of three kids, certified PADI Open Water scuba diver and an accomplished athlete, having competed in high-performance races (Hood to Coast in Oregon, Portland)
